The Peaky Baggers team approached us with little more than an idea, This new start-up was ambitious and atheistic. We worked with them to develop a digital roadmap with included a brand identity, social strategy, a website and e-commerce store as well as the development of their app.
The app's core objective was to enable users to document their hiking achievements and foster a sense of community by allowing them to create and compete within personalised groups. This initiative aimed to serve the niche interests of peak baggers, offering a platform to connect, share, and challenge friends in their outdoor adventures.

One of the first stages was building a visual identity for the brand, we conducted a series of workshops to establish their mission, values and vision including a tone of voice and in depth review of their users.
We then developed a landing page website to promote the app as well as connected e-commerce store which they planned to use as an additional revenue stream. Building upon the brand we developed a detailed social strategy and brand assets that the team could utilise going forward.
The application design began with an in-depth analysis of the existing market to identify gaps and understand the needs of our target users. This research informed the development of a detailed product roadmap, crafted to ensure 'Peaky Baggers' offered a unique value proposition and resonated with the original vision. We focused on the ability to engage users by facilitating community building, competition, and sharing of peak-conquering experiences all features that made the app stand out.
Like with other projects we started by building clickable prototypes in Figma, we then utilised the no-code tool adalo to create an MVP which we tested extensively with end users. This process was invaluable and allowed us to narrow down key functionality and features as well as see where we needed to improve the app.

The Result
This project was particularly tricky as there was no existing platform or app to review or build upon everything was brand new. We worked in sync developing the app and the brand ecosystem whilst juggling user and stakeholder needs as well as timeline and budget constraints.
Our on going development with the peaky baggers team has resulted in them building a successful community with 1000’s of followers and users of the application. They have built a strong reputation thanks to the flexible and considered brand and an a cutting-edge mobile application, offering a comprehensive suite of features designed specifically for the UK's peak bagging community.
The completed app leverages Google Cloud Services and React Native and has shown consistent growth, testament to its engaging features and the vibrant community it supports.
