Glencrest, is a prominent property management firm. They came to us to modernise their inspection process by ditching their outdated manual system.
I lead the product team in conducting a review of all their current processes and procedures through series of workshops both with the senior and inspection teams.
We found that The current process relied heavily on a maze of cumbersome spreadsheets that often required retrospective completion. These spreadsheets were further complicated by the need to manage supporting images and comments gathered during property inspections.

Our primary objective was to eliminate these manual roadblocks and automate as much of the process as possible through a suite of interconnected platforms tailored to both internal administrative teams and field inspection crews.

Along with a series of detailed wireframes which mapped the user flows and interactions, we developed a MVP using the no-code platform Adalo. Initially, we focused solely on developing the MVP for the field inspectors, the ultimate end-users, to ensure we nailed down the core functionality. This approach proved invaluable in weeding out any potential biases from the administrative team and enabled us to prioritise the most essential features for the app's primary users.
Next, we crafted a series of design prototypes showcasing the admin panel's functionalities, emphasising automation features that empowered the administrative teams to create, bulk edit, and auto-assign multiple properties to the relevant inspection teams.

We then set up style guides and a component library to take forward into the next phase of hi fidelity designs, here we mapped out every possible edge case the user could find themselves in, continuing the iterative feedback loop with the client and users.

The Result
This project was a great reflection of end to end product design, the client gave us the freedom to test and irritate and had complete buy in to our process which helped us to gain the best possible experience for the users of the app.
This resulted in a well crafted platform which streamlines Glencrest's inspection process by facilitating real-time inspections and empowering administrative teams to leverage the generated data in a more efficient and insightful manner.
